From the community

It teaches you a lot more than what you get from a typical class - the program is really detailed, and has helped me lean into my heritage and improve how I cook.

I loved the videos which I could watch on my own time without any pressure, combined with the live feedback for the more hands-on support. And the dishes went down a real treat with the family - some have now made it into the weekly dinner rotation!

Elena

NYC

I really don't have anything to say that's negative - I've done different workshops in the past but this is really up there in how easy it is to access support when you need it.

Zoe Tigner-Haus
Zoe's father is a big eater and as a child she remembers having massive lunches at home. It was from him that she learnt a lot about seasoning. She has gone on to work at The River Cafe in London and working with fellow chefs Eyal and Tomer in building the hummus eatery concept Anan.
Tomer Hauptman
Tomer's first kitchen job was as an assistant chocolatier to a Belgian trained chocolatier. He went on to work near the border of Lebanon and his cooking was influenced by a special mix of people from different backgrounds. Now he prefers rustic, hearty, authentic heritage food and has stepped away from the over-plated more towards food with emotion and history.

What we'll be covering

Program Curriculum

Week 1: Breakfast

You'll be starting off with the warm and smoky baharat spice blend in a comforting shakshuka egg dish, balanced out with a tangy fennel salad. Chef Eyal will also show you a 3 and 4 strand plaited challah bread where you can work on your kneading and experiment with seasonal ingredients.

Week 2: Street Food Mezze

This week you'll try a taste of the street food stalls and hawkers of the Middle East, creating your own spread of falafel, blistered cauliflower and kubbeh hamusta. These dishes are a great way to experiment with plenty of fresh herbs and spices, and are handy to have for a lunch spread or for entertaining friends.

Week 3: Fire Cooking

This week you'll be working with lamb and warm spice blends, bringing Middle Eastern flavors to your dining table. You'll also develop your bread making skills by making a pita flatbread from scratch for soaking up all those tasty meat juices.

Week 4: Jewish Bakery

In your final week you'll be having a go at some pastry making as well as making different variations on the delicious babka - a brioche like dough, delicious alongside a cup of coffee.

  • Live Workshop: Coaching & Q&A

You'll be able to get real-time feedback on your creations and have the opportunity to ask any questions.

  • Plus, bonus recipes & resources!

In your starter kit you'll find ingredients picked and used by professional chefs.
